OUR FAVE CERAMIC HAIR STRAIGHTENER!

Hi!

I hope today finds you well.  I have been on a "Once upon a Time", (netflix) marathon this week.  Fairy Tales are spooky in Story Brooke!

Having a bad hair day can be spooky too!  My hair is natural frizz and on humid days, it could put the wicked witches hair to shame!  Blahaha!

I was given the opportunity to review an AWESOME ceramic hair straightener.  

My granddaughter, Haley, has hair that is insanely thick and curly.  We're talking she has broke combs!  Like a lot of people with curly hair, she wants straight hair!  She has had more hair straighteners than one can imagine.  I know because she gives me the ones she doesn't like and I had to build on an extra room to hold them!  Hahaha!

When she used this ceramic straightener, her first words were; "I love this!"

This digital flat iron comes with controls on top for use of handling for both left and right handed users. 

There is a key lock function. Once you have the iron on and set to your preferred temperature, double clicking the power button will lock the controls so that if you hit them while styling it will not change the temperature setting. 

The ideal thumb placement when you're using it is with your thumb over the temperature readout where it says the digital temperature.

I, (we) highly recommend this hair straightener.  We love it!

Love this Red White & Blue Tote!

Hi!

Can one have too many totes?  I don't think so either!  They are useful for so many things.

This tote is especially useful because it is made from water resistant Poly material with a vinyl lining, which makes it idea for carrying wet clothing, such as swim suits or beach towels.

It is quite spacious at 20x14x5.  It also has a zippered pocket inside.

This is well made and holds a lot of "stuff".  Its flat bottom makes it nice, because it stands, without falling over.

I think it is really attractive, and use it for numerous things.

I bet you can think or some ideas for a tote this lovely!!

SAPO Bamboo Charcoal Soap has changed my mind about using bar soap!

I am not a bar soap user.  But, I was intrigued by SAPO's bar soap.
This soap is handmade in the USA.  It is certified organic.

I truly love this soap!  I use it on my face and body.  It does not leave my face with that tight dry soap feeling.  It rinses squeaky clean!

I have noticed my arms do not feel dry, they feel moisturized, like I put an oil of them.

This does lather well, and gray bubbles was a new experience for me.   :)  Usually a colored soap still makes white bubbles!

This soap contains activated bamboo charcoal, shea butter, coconut oil, palm oil, sunflower oil and other oils!  No wonder my skin feels moisturized!

To make your bar soap last longer, be sure and store it out of the direct spray of the water.

I am happy with this soap for both face and body and would recommend it to anyone looking to go organic.

Using the Oversized FlexiKold Gel Pack for Pain

Hello!

We are having a major thunder storm.  I love it!  I love seeing the sky lit up with lightening.  And the thunder rolls....

I am going to complain a little here.  I try not to think about it, but I have a lot of pain.  I have had several surgeries, 3 broken bones and fibromyalgia.  I truly have pain from my toes to my neck.  Waahh, I know.  :(   Now, I am not truly complaining to you, but you need to know where I am coming from for this review.

Some people collect figurines; I collect ice packs!  I know for sure I have seven in the freezer right now and there could be more!  A lot more if one counts all the bags of frozen veggies.  Ha!

There have been some nights that I have went to bed with an ice pack on one part of my body and a heating pad on another part.  Yeh, I'm a real fun girl!

Needless to say, I was really happy to be chosen to review the Oversized FlexiKold Gel Cold Pack.

This is the largest gel pack I have ever owned.  It covers my whole back area.  It is awesome!

It is thin enough that it is comfortable to lay on, and also it can be wrapped around my lower leg where I have residual pain from a broken tibia, that required 2 surgeries; one to put a plate and screws in and one to take them back out 3 years later.  I so wish I had had this pack when all that was going on, because it was really difficult trying to keep a smaller ice pack in place.

This gel pack gets very cold and stays cold for a good while.  One thing to keep in mind when using a cold pack is:  it is recommended to only apply the cold pack for no more than 20 minutes at a time.  Always keep a cloth between your skin and the pack.  

I know with any surgery I have had, the first thing I was told to do was apply an ice pack.  When I worked as a surgical RN, we put ice packs on our surgery patients while they were still in the recovery room, so if you have a surgery coming up, you for sure want to have this gel pack in the freezer waiting for you.

Natracure has several different types of hot/cold packs.  I encourage you to check out the wide variety they offer.

One can benefit from using a cold pack after exercising, injury or surgery.  They work to decrease inflammation and swelling.

Apricot Kernel Oil

Hi!

I hope today finds you well!  We are all doing great.  Love is in the air!

Some of you may remember that I had surgery in May.  After surgery, my skin took a nose dive.  I don't know what happened to it, but my face was so dry and nasty.  I no likey!  I had never used Apricot Kernel Oil before, so I gave it a go on that mess.  And, it helped!

This is different than serums in that it absorbs fairly quickly, and acts more like a moisturizer.

I wear it under my foundation.  It has no fragrance, that I notice.

This can be used as a massage oil, and also on ones hair.  I kinda burnt the ends of my hair with a curling iron, they felt a lil crispy and had that just burnt smell.  LOL  I applied Apricot Oil to the ends and it really helped.

I like this oil.  I think it works great.
