Really Nice Makeup Brush Set in Carrying Case

Hi Ya'll 

How are you doing today?  I am in a bit of a quandary.  I want to live in three different places!  It is hard having loved ones in other states and countries.  Thank goodness for Skype!  But, the longing just to be in the same room as a loved one still remains, huh?

Well, when I do travel to visit loved ones, I can do it with "make up brush style"!  This seven brush set by Xtava is awesome.

I have been using these brushes for about 2 weeks, and have experienced no bristle fall out.  The brushes are soft and the handles are comfortable to hold.  I like the shorter handles, as I feel it gives me more control.

The carrying case these brushes come in is more like soft leather.  It is compact and even has a zippered compartment.

The set includes; a powder brush, foundation brush, kabuki brush, eyebrow definer brush, 2 sizes of eye shadow brushes, and a lip brush.

Although I like all these brushes, the stippling brush is my fave.  I use it to apply my foundation.

My New Best Friend!!

Hi!

It appears that spring is a flop here in Ohio!  We had a few 70 degree days, then BAM last night it was 36 degrees.  That is like almost freezing again!  Blah, I'm tired of it!  

However, the cooler weather did not stop us from taking a road trip yesterday to learn more about essential oils.  It took us 2 hours to get there and usually I am in so much pain by the time I get somewhere, I can barely get out of the car, let alone walk around.
But, yesterday was different because I used my memory foam coccyx seat cushion. And, let me tell you, it made a huge difference.

The shape of this "oh you need one" cushion prevents pressure on ones tailbone.  That is the area I have nerve damage in, so this cushion made a tremendous difference in my pain level.

Today may we be healthy, wealthy and wise!  And, let us remember wealth is not only measured by the amount of money one has.  :)

We're talking Toner!

Greeting earthlings!

Ha!  So sorry, but I have always wanted to say that.  I think it goes back to some cartoon I use to watch.  But, I really can't remember, can you?

There are all kinds of "toners" in the world, but today we are talking face toners.  :)  Orange Blossom Water Toner to be exact.

This product does not have much of an orangey smell to me.  It is a pleasant smell, but not orangey.  Now, this is no ordinary ole' toner.  This is made from orange blossom water from the Mediterranean.

Info on how Essential Oils work

I hope you are doing well today!  I just got back from visiting my West Virginia family.  I hadn't been "home" in 4 months, so it was really good to see everyone.  I haven't lived in West Virginia for almost 15 years, but it is still home.  Do you feel that way too?

In today's world, it seems more and more people are trying to remove harmful chemicals from their homes.  And, not only that, but also for healing purposes.  This is where essential oils come in. 

Essential oils are more than just a smell good product.  When used correctly, they can be quite beneficial.  I went to a essential oil home party and within an hour, the hostess had made fabric softener, carpet freshener, foaming soap, and dusting spray.   It was very easy to do, and used household items to add the essential oils too.

Essential oils work because they are able to penetrate the cells in our body.  This also is a reason why they should not be used willy-nilly.  Do your homework and find which essential oil works best for you.

I was given the opportunity to review a lavender oil by aVo.  This has a sweet lavender smell to me.  I put a few drops on a cloth at night and keep it close to my bed, or I put it in my mister.  The company states this is a 100% pure natural oil.  That is an important piece of information to look for when deciding on an oil.

 Here are a few things one may use lavender oil for:  calming, sleep-aid, reduce swelling from insect bites, can be applied to minor cuts or burns.

It is a general recommendation that no essential oil be applied directly to the skin.  It should be mixed with a carrier oil, such as coconut or grapeseed oil.

How are ya'll doin?  I have been awake since 3 a.m. this morning, so I really haven't decided how I am. LOL  I know I'll be good though,  I don't have any reason not to be!

I was very fortunate to win a Kindle Fire on a blog giveaway.  I have wanted a tablet for quite awhile, so I was really happy to have won one.

Uses of Fractionated Coconut Oil

Today's review is fractionated coconut oil.  This is an odorless, colorless liquid.  It is not greasy and absorbs quickly.

What I use it for the most is a carrier oil for my essential oils.  I also from time to time douse my hair in it and let it soak for several hours.  Pretty!  :)

Other uses for fractionated coconut oil include using it to make soap, body scrubs, and lotions.  It is great for massages also.

How does one use a Dermaroller and why would you want too?

It is a lovely day in the neighborhood!  Maintenance is mowing the grass and spring is in the air!  I love the smell of freshly mowed grass.  

Have you heard about Dermarollers?  They seem to be all the rage right now.  And, after experiencing the benefits I can see why!

This product comes very nicely packaged.  It has a nice plastic case that it is to be kept in when not in use.

A dermaroller should be a one person tool, because those are actually micro needles that pierce the skin.  The piercing of the skin causes collagen formation.  This in turn aids in helping acne scars, wrinkles, hair loss, brown spots and eye bags.

A dermaroller of this size, (1.0 ) can be used bi-weekly.
If using larger sized needles once a month is the norm.
It should be soaked in alcohol prior to use.
It should be used on a cleansed area only.
One may choose to use a topical analgesic prior to use.  
This should not be extremely painful.
If you apply too much pressure and start bleeding, you need to back off on the pressure.  Contrary to some videos on YouTube, one should not draw blood.

One rolls the dermaroller 4 times in a horizontal direction, vertical direction and diagonal direction.

After use, apply serums or moisturizer.

This product should be kept out of the reach of children.

How is everyone doing?  I had an awesome Easter holiday.  I received a Easter present from my sister, which I wasn't expecting, and then my precious granddaughter surprised me with a dozen roses and candy.  Talk about feeling loved!  I truly wish everyone in the world was as well loved as I am.  I have awesome people in my life!

Hello again!

Thank you so much for being here.  Please take a minute of your time to follow my blog.  Links are on the side bar.  You do make a difference!

I made a new acquaintance about a month ago.  She is about 25 years younger than me.  When I told her how old I am, she said; "You have no wrinkles."  Whew, music to my ears.  LOL

A Stitch in Time

Hi!

I hope today finds you well and happy!  I am doing good too!

I have always had a love for sewing.  My Mom and Grandma owned a fabric shop when I was younger.  I made myself a new outfit each week!  I was called the best dressed in school. :)

To those of you that celebrate Easter, HAPPY EASTER!!  Easter always seems like a time of renewing for me.  The weather is starting to warm up, flowers are popping out, and I just start feeling more energetic.
